Shaquille O’Neal is an Idiot

<![CDATA[I’ll admit it, I’m a fan of Shaquille O’Neal…but the guy is an idiot.

Alright.  Allow me to explain.

The other night during the TNT’s “Inside the NBA”, it was brought up that the NBA legend didn’t know who Mariano Rivera was.  The gang joked about it, had a graphic made up mocking O’Neal and had a hearty laugh at the fact that he thought the future Hall of Fame closer was named, of all things, “Raphael Nugero”.

Watch.

Now, I get it.  O’Neal claims to not watch baseball and, honestly, if he’s not a fan, it’s possible that he might not know who the greatest closer of all-time is.  But, while we’re all supposed to think it’s cutesy that Shaq didn’t know Rivera’s name…the guy apparently knows who Jose Canseco is.

A little over two years ago, “The Big Whatever” seemingly wanted to be re-named “Shaq the Pugilist” and even hit up UFC President Dana White on Twitter to express interest in fighting the former “Bash Brother”.

Naturally, Conseco, er, Canseco (coincidentally a former teammate of Rivera) agreed to the fight.  Then, O’Neal apparently backed out.  And, ultimately, nothing ever happened.
