Johnny Manziel Autographed Baseball Cards Are a Hot Commodity

On the eve of his first NFL start, it’s important to remember that Johnny Manziel was, in addition to being drafted by the Cleveland Browns, once selected by the San Diego Padres.

However, unlike the Browns, who took a chance on the quarterback with the 22nd pick in the first round, the Padres took the former high school shortstop 837th overall.

But that doesn’t seem to matter to card collectors.

A number of different football card manufacturers have offered up autographs of the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner in their sets. In November, the Bowman baseball card company announced that they would include Manziel as part of their upcoming MLB Draft set.  Well…the cards have since hit the market and the autographed Manziel baseball cards are selling for big bucks (some for as much as $200-300). Much higher than their autographed football card counterparts.

Crazy.
