I’m not sure how I missed this over the weekend, but, man…I sure am glad I stumbled upon it when I did.
Jose Canseco is looking to get back into the ring again. Again. And this time, he’s going after UFC’s latest future sideshow…former WWE champion CM Punk.

Scores of people have hit social media to challenge CM Punk (real name Phil Brooks), so I guess we shouldn’t have been surprised when the former “Bash Brother” threw his home run-dented hat into the proverbial (and potentially literal) ring.
Unfortunately, Canseco has more of a history of wanting to get between the ropes and square off against folks than he actually has history of doing it. Remember when the former slugger called out NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and was scheduled to fight ex-Major Leaguer Lenny Dykstra and (for some reason) White House party crasher Tareq Salahi?
Weird, right?
But, hey, it’s been a while since the last time Canseco got close to an actual boxing match and who knows…maybe there’s a promoter out there that doesn’t mind getting duped by the world’s worst imitation of “The Parent Trap”.
