From the insanely entertaining opening number by Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake to Paul Simon closing it out with “Still Crazy After All These Years”, the “Saturday Night Live” 40th anniversary special was a spectacle of epic proportions.
Among the stars hitting the stage were cast members (past and present), past hosts and musical guests.
And of course…Derek Jeter.

The former New York Yankees captain, who is one of only five former hosts with any sort of baseball pedigree, showed up midshow (alongside NFL great Peyton Manning) to introduce a package showcasing the iconic show’s best sports moments.
