Jay-Z Confuses David Wells for Curt Schilling

It’s going to be a long time before people stop talking about what went down at the after party following the “Saturday Night Live” 40th anniversary special.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, here’s a quick re-cap. “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon became the de facto master of ceremonies Sunday night…bringing together on stage a smorgasbord of A-list talent. There was Paul McCartney, Dan Aykroyd and Taylor Swift jamming to The Beatles’ “I Saw Her Standing There” as well as Swift’s “Shake It Off”. Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande teamed up with Debbie Harry on a rendition of “The Tide is High”.

Then, seemingly from out of nowhere, Prince (and whoever was in close proximity of a microphone) performed “Let’s Go Crazy”.

Now, courtesy of David Cone…there’s this.

That’s. Awesome.

Like a true gentlemen, David Wells took it all in stride…and jokingly ribbed Curt Schilling in the process.

There are a number of things that separate Wells from Schilling, the least of which is the fact that they look absolutely nothing like one another. You’d think that noted New York Yankees fan (and sports agent!) Jay-Z would be able to tell the pitchers apart.

Guess not.
