Question: Why do teams have more off-days and such earlier in the year?
Answer: Mainly for weather reasons, allowing teams to have easy fall-backs for rain or snow. This is especially true for Home Openers, since otherwise they’d have to worry about futzing around with opening day tickets.
Question: What is Stanozolol and why is everyone being suspended for it?
Answer: It’s an anabolic steroid most well-known for its use in body-building, track and field, and horse racing, although certainly some baseball players have also been caught with it in the past. It and similar substances were among the first steroids to be banned. As for why it seems to be popping up more now…I have no idea.
Question: Would the Angels be trying so hard to invalidate or find some other way out of Josh Hamilton’s contract if he was still producing like he did from 2008 to 2012?
Answer: Probably not.
Question: Did you stay up for that entire 19-inning Red Sox-Yankees game?
Answer: I didn’t watch the whole 19 innings uninterrupted, but, yes, I saw most of the game.
Question: Is Clayton Kershaw having a 5.84 ERA after two starts a sign of the end times?
Answer: Yes. Make peace with the deity or deities of your faith, hug your loved ones one last time, and finally get that trip to Disney World out of the way. Because the end is near. Or, well, maybe wait a few more weeks, because it’s ONLY TWO GAMES.
