Pete Rose Has Snoop Dogg’s Support

tor

Pete Rose is scheduled to meet with new baseball commissioner Rob Manfred in August to discuss the lifetime ban levied against him in 1989 and his hopeful election into baseball’s Hall of Fame.

While baseball’s hit king might not have the support of some of his peers already in Cooperstown…there are some folks out there that truly believe he belongs.

Sunday, while taking part in a pre-All-Star Game celebrity softball game, Snoop Dogg was asked about Rose’s Hall of Fame candidacy because, well…why the Hell not apparently?

“Oh yeah, definitely,” Snoop said in an interview with CBS Sports. “Charlie Hustle? I grew up loving Pete Rose. He’s one of the greatest baseball players to ever do it.”

Ugh.

There are so many things wrong with asking Snoop Dogg his opinion on Rose and, ironically, none of it has to do with his answer. Truth is, the D-O-double gizzle is right, dude was one of the greatest baseball players ever to do “it”, but the fact remains…Rose broke one of baseball’s most fundamental rules.

But of course, Snoop Dogg won’t blast Rose for his gambling habits. The rapper-turned-reggae artist-turned-rapper-turned whatever he is now is notorious for his wagers.  Two years ago, Snoop Dogg famously won a huge bag of weed following a Floyd Mayweather fight and a couple of years before that, he was on the winning end of a $20,000 wager with UFC commissioner Dana White

So…yeah.

Then again, what else can you ask a guy who hasn’t had a decent album since 1994 (it’s true…look it up) and is relevant only because he shows up at things.
