I know, I know…enough with the “Back to the Future II” prophecy.
We all get it, the Chicago Cubs are knocking on the door of the World Series (they do still need to get past the New York Mets) and it was the hit 1989 movie that predicted they’d win the championship in 2015. But even though the universe seems to have remembered…one of the film’s stars did not.
“I didn’t even remember about the Cubs until someone brought it up a few days ago,” Christopher Lloyd told The Hollywood Reporter.
However, the actor (who played scientist Doctor Emmett Brown throughout the entire “Back to the Future” trilogy) thinks it would be pretty cool to throw out the first pitch of the World Series. And he’s right…it would be.
“Maybe it’ll happen. We’ll see,” he added. “They got to get there first.”
Should the Cubs want to give Lloyd, er, Doc Brown a chance to fulfill his wish, I know just the place where they can find a DeLorean to transport him to Wrigley Field.
