PLAYING CAREER: Pittsburgh Pirates (1996–2004), Oakland Athletics (2005–2007), Chicago Cubs (2007), Milwaukee Brewers (2008–2009) and Kansas City Royals (2010).
ACHIEVEMENTS: Career batting average of .288 with 2195 hits. On May 19, 2000, became the first Pirate to hit for the cycle in Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Stadium. Three-time All-Star (1996, 1998 and 2000). His 189 stolen bases are second all-time in MLB history in the modern era to Roger Bresnahan for stolen bases by a player primarily playing catcher for his career.

HOVG THOUGHTS: Kendall quietly put together a pretty good career and had he played in a different era…it’s quite possible we’d be talking about him more favorably. As it is, we’re looking at a “one and done” situation here.
