Whenever I read or hear the name “Reggie Jackson” I think of the Hall of Fame slugger…not the starting point guard for the Detroit Pistons.
So, you can imagine where my mind went when I saw the name “Alex Rodriguez” all over Twitter Saturday.
Touchdown Indiana. Fittingly, Alex Rodriguez scores at Yankee Stadium.

A-ROD Touchdown at Yankee Stadium!! Alex Rodriguez with the ten-yard TD run. 31-27 #iufb, 1:20 3Q.

Alex Rodriguez scores a touchdown at Yankee Stadium. Not something you hear everyday. #iufb

That’s right…Indiana running back Alex Rodriguez scored on a scamper from the ten during the Hoosiers game against Duke. The touchdown was also the freshman’s first of the season and, naturally, it came during the Pinstripe Bowl…played (conveniently) at Yankee Stadium.
Seems fitting.

However, unlike previous milestones by Rodriguez (no…the OTHER one), the Yankees actually decided to celebrate this one immediately after it happened.
Alex Rodriguez just scored his first touchdown at Yankee Stadium in the 2015 @PinstripeBowl! #DukeVsIndiana #NoNotThatArod
