You’ve no doubt seen and heard a lot of Prince tributes since his death in April, but Nothing Compares 2 This.
The American Association league team honored the late-popstar with a “Purple Game” complete with Prince-themed uniforms (including their logo meshed with the musician’s symbol), their mascot dressed in some classy “Purple Rain” inspired duds, and, naturally, the lineup being announced via nine little red Corvettes.
The Saints even had the Purple One’s symbol cut into their outfield grass.

As far as publicity stunts go, this one was a winner. The team set a new home attendance record with 10,443 fans in attendance. And the winner of the game? Blouses, er…the Saints.
But back to those jerseys. Yeah…I want one.
