Welp…that didn’t take long.
Hours minutes after word came out that Tim Tebow was looking to pursue a baseball career, minor league teams banged the Twitters with offers galore.
One of the first…the unaffiliated Schaumburg Boomers.

“I understand that Tim’s ultimate goal is to make it to the major leagues, just like every other guy on our team,” Boomers General Manager Pete Laven said. “With our proximity to Chicago and the fact that major league scouts come through our park on a regular basis, I think this is the perfect situation for Tim to showcase his skills in a game situation.”
Wait…there’s more.
“We’re looking for an athletic outfielder who can bring some leadership and competitiveness into the clubhouse,” Boomers Manager Jamie Bennett added. “Tebow brings all of those characteristics and then some. I think he’d be a great fit here in Schaumburg.”
Perhaps the best response to all this hoopla surrounding the former Heisman Trophy winner came from kings of promotional stunts…the St. Paul Saints, who, hopefully, preemptively shut up a lot of other potential suitors.
Dear other minor league teams. Don't put out release saying you "offered" @TimTebow contract & anyone named Tim or Tebow gets in free

Best tweet of the day? It’s still early, but, yeah…probably.
