I made it to practice this morning in plenty of time. As we were walking up we ran into Don Maloney. We told him how much we liked the new coaching staff. We commented on how excited we were for this season.
When we were finally allowed in the boys had already taken the ice. And they were looking good. They were running the drills over and over. They were doing some drills I had not seen before but looked good. The mood/vibe also seemed different then under Gretzky. The practice seemed structured and controlled yet the guys were still in good spirits and smiling/laughing.
I am seeing a great future for the Coyotes. This most recent changes have really upped the level of play for the Coyotes.
On a side note, a friend emailed GMDM about Montoya and this is what he had to say:
Al Montoya had a terrific camp and I am now confident he can be recalled this season and win games for us here in Phoenix. I am sure he will get his chance at some point this season and I expect him to be a regular NHL player soon. Thanks for your continual support.

I like that answer. I can deal with that. And I cannot wait to see Montoya up in a yotes jersey again!
