I know… I know this is pretty much a Coyotes blog but I cannot help but write about my other team. The Flyers game tonight was edge of my seat fan-freaking-tastic!
The Caps were in town for the Flyers home opener and made them work for it. But my Flyers were ready for Ovenchicken and his merry gang of misfits. This was a hockey game I’ve been waiting for all summer. This was amazing. I only hope the Coyotes home opener will be as good (if not better). I need to forget this off-season!
I missed the first thanks to stupid timezones and not having fallen back yet. But I got home in time for most of the second. And omg, was I thankful for my crappy internet feed.

And Pronger denying Ovenchicken a goal. Wow. That was awesome. Ovie was trying to do some fancy move and Pronger was like I will have none of that, save it for the all-star game buddy.
Ray Emery seemed to keep his cool through the entire game. There were a couple of times I was worried he would freak out. And no stupid penalties from Carcillo.
Only two problems… Betts is out at least a month with a shoulder injury and JVR will have his head looked at again tomorrow. He did return to the game but it is better safe then sorry.
Annnnnnd the Flyers go 3-0 to start the 2009-2010 season. I hope the Coyotes can do the same. They are 1-0 now but face the Pens tomorrow night. Eeeks. Then the Flyers play the Pens on Thursday. I hope the Pens lose both nights!
AWESOME NIGHT! Woohoo! I have such a hockey hangover right now. I want cookies and Yotesgurl won’t make me any. Booooooooooo. It would have been the perfect cure for the hh.
