Who wouldn’t want to buy ice cream from a Zamboni cruising down the street? I would totally empty my change cup and go running down the street!
NBC Sports and Versus have teamed up to bring a Zamboni ice cream truck (?) to several NHL cities. The Zamboni will be driven by NHL legends and deliver free ice cream. See, you don’t even need to break your piggie banks for this one!
So what is the catch you ask? Well… the Zamboni’s location will not be revieled before hand. This means you need to follow NHL on NBC & Versus on Twitter or be a Facebook fan. I guess those aren’t too difficult, right?
And do not fear, not only do you get FREE ICE CREAM (I mean really, what more could you want?). you also get a chance to win some awesome prizes. I totally want to stalk the Zamboni for my chance at official team hats/shirts, autographed merchandise, team jerseys, gift cards, tickets to regular-season games next year and more. Plus, there’s the chance to enter for a trip for two to this year’s Stanley Cup Final.
Do I sound enough like an infomercial? That was kind of what I was going for. And no, NBC/Versus has not paid me nor given me any incentive to post this. I was contacted by email and thought it was a really neat idea. I should have kept it for myself though… I’d have a much better chance at winning something. DOH!
