Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t suck
Last week: 34 ppg, 8.8 boards, 10.8 assists, 2.8 steals, 2.8 blocks
Blah, blah, blah, Lebron had three triple dubs last week, a 51 pt game and oh, did I mention the Cavs are 10-1 in their last eleven? Bananas.
Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets didn’t suck
Last week: 28.3 ppg, 6.5 rebounds, 9.5 assists, 2.8 steals
CP3’s last four games: 29 pts, 29 pts, 30 pts, 30 pts and he’s not in the MVP talks and Hornets blog, Hornets Hype ain’t down with it. The Hornets are in that tight race in the West and CP3 is trying to help the Hornets claw their way to the top, or at least close to it.
Antonio McDyess of the Detroit Pistons didn’t suck
Last week: 17.3 ppg, 16.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks
Antonio McDyess has been playing some heavy minutes for the Pistons and produced a 20-20 game against the Knicks scoring 21 pts and grabbing 22 boards. With Rasheed on the shelf with the calf injury, Jason Maxiell and McDyess have been picking up the slack.
Check out some vintage ‘Dyess:

Renaldo Balkman of the Denver Nuggets didn’t suck
Last week: 18 ppg, 12.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 1.5 blocks
After posting a string of donuts, Renaldo Balkman got some PT with Kenyon Martin on the sidelines with a back injury, and he put up some numbers averaging a double double last week for the Nuggs. Interesting fact? The Nuggets are 7-1 with Balkman starting. Too bad K-Mart is back and Balkman left Monday’s game with a groin injury.
The Atlanta Hawks didn’t suck
Last week:Won their 5th in a row
The Hawks are 5-0 in their recent five game homestand. They knocked off some tough teams in Detroit, New Orleans, Utah, Indy and Portland. Joe Johnson has been hot in that stretch as well, scoring 30+ in his last four.
