Jerome Williams enjoyed a nine year career in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, and New York Knicks. Toronto Raptors. Affectionately & aptly known worldwide as the ‘JunkYard Dog’ due to his tenacious style of play on the court, he was and continues to be a fan favourite! He currently serves as a Legends Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, a Community Ambassador for the NBA, and is involved with Player Development in NBA Summer League. On top of that, he is involved with many other endeavours including ‘The Basketball Channel’ and much more.
‘JYD’ is a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to the the game of basketball at EVERY level. Romy Aquino and I had the opportunity to sit down with Jerome during his visit to Halifax for the fan interactive event ‘NBA Nation presented by Samsung’ and talk about his current involvement with the NBA, the past and current success of the Toronto Raptors, the rise and the future of Canada Basketball, and a whole lot more!
