Temple dominated this game pretty much the whole way, getting a huge game from Jaylen Bond, who had his seventh double-double of the season, with 18 points and 14 rebounds. The Owls shot a healthy 47% as team and had a season-high 20 assists on 32 made field goals en route to a 77-65 victory to extend their win streak to five games.
Obi Enechionyia had a nice game with 18 points and made 3 three’s in the game. The sophomore’s play continues to improve each game, which is a good sign for Temple. Josh Brown just missed a double-double contributing 11 points, 9 assists, and 3 steals to the cause. Temple had five players in double-figures including leading scorer Quenton DeCosey and Devin Coleman with 10 points off the bench.
South Florida had a difficult time taking care of the ball and Temple made them pay, turning it into 27 points off turnovers.
Next up for Temple is #1 Villanova in a primetime Big 5 showdown at the Liacouras Center. A win against Villanova could do wonders for Temple’s resume and there’s nothing like knocking off the best team in the country.
