After a rough season at the Heights, The Eagles now have lots to prove for the upcoming 2016 season. A rough offensive team this season after Darius Wade went down, they managed to pull out victories over Maine, Howard and Northern Illinois. The offense looked in good shape with QB Darius Wade at the helm and his dual threat abilities. Wade led the Eagles to a 24-3 victory over the Black Bears, who fought a decent battle with their solid defense.

Not to mention, owner of Ttownsports Tyler Gouveia and I attended the Maine and Howard games with press passes in hand.

The following week, Boston College played a unknown school for most people. Howard is a college located in the D.C. area and were absolutely terminated by the Eagles. A 76-0 blowout in which they had to shorten the 3rd and 4th quarters so BC wouldn’t put up triple digits and to make time go by faster.

Northern Illinois put up a heck of a fight on September 26th. I personally attended the game as a fan and sat right behind the Northern Illinois bench. Northern Illinois has some talented guys but ultimately lost a huge one to BC 17-14. After Northern Illinois, BC went down the path of losing. After a 3-1 start, they dropped 8 games in a row. Mainly the offense was not in shape with the quarterback position. In 2016, Wade should be healthy as ever and ready to guide the unpredictable Eagles in 2016.

NFL PROSPECTS BOSTON COLLEGE 2016-

Now the attention will be on the rising juniors and seniors hopefully entering the NFL Draft this upcoming season. Here are my predictions for the upcoming players.

Justin Simmons DB 6’3 200 pounds- Simmons is a guy that has a high IQ when on the field. With his 6’3 length, Simmons is aggressive and is involved in most plays. He wants to be involved in plays. With 5 interceptions this season and 67 tackles this season, Simmons is a difference maker in the secondary. Watching tape of Simmons, his quickness and length will intrigue scouts and Simmons is very humble and great character. Simmons could end up in the mid part of draft (4th-5th rounds) at most.

Possible Teams- New England, San Francisco

Tyler Rouse RB 5’8 195 pounds- Rouse is a short running back full of power. Rouse reminds me of Doug Martin of Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both have the same body complexes and running style. Rouse pounded in 7 touchdowns this year for over 420 yards. It may not seem like a lot but teams will look at the future and hope for the best. Rouse for a career has scored 12 touchdowns and has over 750 rushing yards. Rouse will most likely be a free agent coming through the draft and hopefully a team picks him up.

Possible Teams- Giants, Seahawks, Steelers, Lions

DL Mehdi Abdesmad 6’7 285 pounds- Abdesmad is a massive human being. His presence on the defensive line is heard. His quickness and speed for a person that big is amazing to watch. Abdesmad is a tough kid that can be nifty at the line and create his own way to get to the QB. Abdesmad has recorded 5.5 sacks this season but again his future with football looks bright. Possible late round pick (6th, 7th).

Possible Teams- Jets, Ravens, Jaguars
