There is no way around it, as of right now the Bruins are hot. They entered one the hardest parts of the schedule and they rocked it. The Bruins have won 7 of their last 10 games beating important teams such as the Lightning and Panthers. There is no room for sliding as the Panthers and Lightning are still on the heels of the Bruins only down by one point for the Atlantic division.

They Bruins will now hit the road as they will be traveling the next 8 of 10 games playing 3 on the west coast before coming home for a very important match up vs. the Panthers. The Bruins are ready to roll as just today they called up Frank Vatrano from Providence on emergency basis. Vatrano has been taring it up in Providence as he is a 30 plus goal scorer with 15 assist.

The Bruins start tonight at the SAP Center in San Jose where they will take on the Jumbo Joe Thornton and the Sharks. You better buckle up because this game is going to be great. Both teams are fighting to lead their respected division and need every point they can get. There is only one catch to this the game does not start until 10:00 PM Eastern. It will be a late night but it’s going to be some of the best hockey we have seen all year. We played the Sharks earlier in the year at the Garden and lost a nail bitter 5 to 4, so the Bruins will try to split the season series tonight.

The Bruins will than have some nice time off as they will not play their second game until Friday night vs. the Ducks. The Ducks right now also in the hunt for the lead in the Pacific division right above the Sharks and right below the Kings. The Bruins played the Ducks in January and it was not pretty as they lost 6 to 2 in a game where Gustavsson left early because of illness. Game time for this one is also 10:00 PM Eastern.

The final game of the West Coast trip will be played on Saturday night as the Bruins will take on the best team in the Pacific division the LA Kings. The Bruins will try to make a name for themselves as last time we took on the Kings we got embarrassed 9 to 2 on our home ice. The Kings are a great team I am just hoping the Bruins can keep it close and just maybe squeeze out a win. Lucky for us we get to wait an extra half hour for this one to start as the puck will drop at 10:30 PM.

This is going to be a fantastic rest of the week of hockey the Bruins take on the top three teams in the Pacific division. Let’s see if the Bruins can keep their seven game point streak intact.
