NCAA Hoops Viewer’s Guide: Week of Nov 14th

predsyotes

As of today, the 2011/12 NBA season looks lost.  But we don’t care, right – we’ve got college hoops!  Here are the top NCAA games to take your mind off the lockout this week.

Game of the Week

Tues, Nov 15th – 8:00 pm ET: Florida at Ohio State, ESPN2

This should be a doozy.  Florida’s “best backcourt in the NCAA” vs Ohio State and “the best player in college basketball”, Jared Sullinger.  You normally don’t get two top 10 ranked teams squaring off so early in the season, so this game is extra special.  Florida isn’t just a bunch of guards, though, as they have a top NBA big man prospect of their own in Patric Young, whose battle with Sullinger will be a nice game inside the game.  We’re going to give the Buckeyes the slight advantage in this one, due to Sullinger and the home court advantage.

Other game worth watching

Tues, Nov 15th – 9:00pm ET: Kentucky vs Kansas (neutral site), ESPN

While this is supposed to be a bit of a down year for Kansas, they are still a formidable team, so this tilt versus uber-talented Kentucky – in Madison Square Garden, no less – should be fun.
