With the NBA regular season coming to a close it’s time for awards week at The Hoops Manifesto.  We’ve teamed up with some of Bloguin’s best NBA writers to vote on who gets the (virtual) hardware.  Next up: MVP

Voting Panel: Jeff Fox from The Hoops Manifesto, Lives from Knicks Fanatics, College Wolf and Bonk from TWolves Blog, Philip Rossman-Reich from Orlando Magic Daily, and Don from With Malice.

MVP

LeBron James – Miami

27.1 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 6.2 apg, 1.9 spg, 53.1% FG

Kevin Durant turned it into a fight, but LeBron James ended up prevailing as our choice for NBA MVP.  And how can you argue with that statline above?  James had a dominant season and both ends of the floor – perhaps his best year in the NBA yet.

Others receiving votes: Kevin Durant

Previous Award Winners: Executive of the Year, Coach of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth Man of the Year, All-Rookie Team, Rookie of the Year, All-Defensive Teams, Defensive Player of the Year, All-NBA Teams
