Anthony Bennett
UNLV – Freshman (Born 1993)
Power Forward
6'7" 239 lbs

The Good:

– 7'1" wingspan
– NBA ready body
– physically powerful & strong player
– explosive athlete
– very aggressive – attacks
– very quick for a player his size
– can take his man off the dribble
– terrific scorer
– three-point range on his jumper
– good at drawing fouls
– strong rebounder
– potential/upside
– international experience playing for Canada

The Bad:

– currently on the shelf due to shoulder surgery
– has battled injuries his whole career
– a year older than most other freshmen
– small for power forward at just 6'7" (but his wingspan helps)
– despite his length & athleticism, doesn't bring much on the defensive end

NBA Comparison:

Paul Millsap (with extra athleticism); Tristan Thompson

The Skinny:

Anthony Bennett has many of the buzzwords attached to him NBA scouts love – length, athleticism, explosiveness, upside.  Unfortunately, he also has some negative words attached to him, as well – injury prone, tweener.
