While grinding their way to stay in the hunt for Buctober, the Pittsburgh Pirates took some time out have a little fun with social media this week.
These Pittsburgh Pirates like to make things interesting don’t they? For a team that was all but written off in early September, like true Pirates these swashbuckling men in black and gold are keeping fans on the edges of their couches, seats, and beds with their late and extra-inning heroics.
Thankfully THIS fan has a few more months to go before he needs to be getting some extra rest…

Last night’s moment inspired starting pitcher Jameson Taillon to dig deep for a stat that will leave the numbers folks happy –
Since June, I've started 3 games ending in walk offs. Lots of cheering inside during my post pitch biking, arm care, stretching, and icing
— Jameson Taillon (@JTaillon50) September 24, 2016
I’m wondering if he hates missing out on the celebrations, or just imagines that all the cheering is for his excellent bike ride!
With all of the fanfare of a career moment like Jacob Stallings had last night, it’s always important to have buddies who can keep you grounded. Like Trevor Williams.

And if you’re still stuck in that moment, you know THAT one, between Trevor and his dad Richard Williams, here’s something that will give you all those feels all over again…
What do we say to the God of Death? NOT TODAY! Lengthy report ends with "No evidence of residual or recurrent lymphoma". CANCER FREE!
— RICHARD WILLIAMS (@SDRICH7777) September 20, 2016
As the Pirates battle through this last few weeks, one has made an epic comeback from a career- low. And if you don’t think he’s been listening, well…

Josh Bell gives Pittsburghers just another reason to love him, supporting one of the Burgh’s own rapper/artist Mac Miller…

College Football is in full force and Buckeys fan Eric Fryer is pretty excited about his team’s record thus far…

No word on Trevor Williams’ football tendencies yet, but we know he does enjoy coffee and an occasional crossword. This has to be rigged, Check out 25 and 31 across!
Found a great coffee shop in Milwaukee to relax and read at pic.twitter.com/IEjmd5q1Ii

Looks like Trev and his teammates are good at sniffing out the java…
Kickin off this off day in Milwaukee with a caffeine buzz @ColectivoCoffee ☕️☕️ Last off day of the year, finish strong!!
— Jameson Taillon (@JTaillon50) September 19, 2016
While Williams and Taillon might share coffee shops, it appears that Ivan Nova and Gregory Polanco might share hairdressers…both are sporting bright orange/yellow tips – and they like it! It’s a good, bold look for some guys who are doing good, bold things.

You know who else is sporting a good look? Juan Nicasio in his subtle colorful dress shirt for the flight back to Pittsburgh from Milwaukee.

Every week Root Sports Pittsburgh does Twitter Tuesday with a player, where people are encouraged to ask questions using the #BucsTuesday which might be posed to the player and answered on air. One time a year they pull in the REAL superstar of the team, equipment manager Scott Bonnett – affectionately known as Bones. He is always a huge hit on the air and receives a ton of questions, according to Root.
Pirates players had to get in on the action too…
Bones, besides yourself, who else plays a pivotal role in the running of the clubhouse on a daily basis?#BucsTuesday
— Jared Hughes (@locatejared) September 20, 2016
#BucsTuesday hey Bones, what's up with the absurd amount of @HiChew you have in your office? #intervention

September 19 is known nationwide as Talk Like a Pirate Day. Krispy Cream was giving free donuts to people who ordered them like Pirates, radio stations and news broadcasts had fun with it and of course, so did our own Buccos…
Passes stranger on the sidewalk…

Speaking of talking, the Pirates acquired Yankees reliever Phil Coke this week and along with him came some stories about one current Pirates backstop…
Coke taught Cervelli English in minors: "Not a joke. He’d say, 'Hey, hey, Cokie. Bon Yovi! Bon Yovi! It's my liiife.' That's all he knew."

There’s no telling where the Pirates rollercoaster will take fans next – just remember this before we part ways for the week – for the guys out there on the field, this game is their life…

As a reminder – Buccos fans, keep Adding #VoteHughes to your tweets to up Jared Hughes’ fan vote for the Roberto Clemente Award.
That’s about all this week for the Pirates’ Social Media Round-Up. The Bucs try to stave off that Nats champagne party again tonight at 7:05 p.m., so make your plans accordingly! #LetsGoBucs
