According to Kings.com’s Stevie Crisostro:
Forward Jason Thompson also did not practice. He received seven stitches in the webbing of his right hand after injuring it in the fourth quarter of Friday’s tilt in Oklahoma City. He will not participate in the next three games, and will be re-evaluated after the Kings face the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
Thompson has been an iron man for the Kings, missing only eight total games in his two plus seasons (two for a death in the family, five with two low back fractures, one DNP-CD). In his last 10 games as the Kings starting power forward, Thompson has averaged 11.3 points and 7.8 rebounds in 28 minutes a game. He and DeMarcus Cousins appeared to be getting comfortable as a tandem over the last handful of games.
According to the report, Cousins also missed practice today while resting a sore ankle and two sore wrists. He is questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Houston Rockets. If Cousins can’t go, Westphal has a plan:
If DeMarcus can play, we’ll start Darnell. If DeMarcus can’t play, we’ll start Samuel and Carl.
Darnell Jackson has been in and out of the rotation all season. The big man out of Kansas brings a similar skill set as Thompson, but in a slightly smaller package. Westphal seems to like the combination of Landry and Dalembert on the floor together, so we will have to wait until game time to see if they start or come in off the bench.
