First Quarter Recap
The Kings struggled horribly in the first quarter on the offensive end. Beno Udrih and Darnell Jackson were the only starters to hit a bucket. Luckily, Udrih hit 4-5 from the field, including 2-2 from three, to pace the Kings with a total of 12 points. Tyreke Evans went 0-5, mostly off balance fall away jumpers with an occasional one on three take to the rim that resulted in a blocked shot. The Kings looked lost and the Warriors took advantage, scoring many of their shots on breakaway dunks. Monta Ellis kicked in nine points and Reggie Williams added six as the Warriors led by eight after the first 12 minutes.

Second Quarter Recap
The Kings came out flat again, but newly acquired Jermaine Taylor came in for some early burn. The athletic shooting guard out of Central Florida quickly hit two baskets for his first four points as a King. The Kings went on a run to end the second quarter, mostly on the back of Carl Landry and his 13 points. Landry scored primarily on rebound put backs. The Kings finished the half with a spectacular last second lay-up by Pooh Jeter to end the second down by only one.

Third Quarter Recap
At the 7:06 mark of the third, the Kings took a 60-58 lead on a lay-in by Tyreke Evans. The Kings’ young star shot 1-10 in the first half and the make looked like a major relief. The Kings got it rolling with Carl Landry (7), Beno Udrih (7), Tyreke Evans (9), DeMarcus Cousins (5) and Francisco Garcia (5) all contributing big in a 36 point quarter for the Kings. After slow playing the first half, the Kings jumped all over the Warriors and ended the third up 14.

Fourth Quarter Recap
The Warriors began the fourth burying three quick three pointers, but the Kings answered with a whole lot of Beno Udrih. The Kings pushed the lead as high as 16, but the Warriors continued to fight back. At the 5:39 mark, the Kings led 94-87 and against a team like the Warriors, they needed their offense to not stagnate like it had in previous games. Although it wasn’t pretty, the Kings used two huge defensive plays, first a steal and lay-in by Tyreke Evans, followed by an unbelievable block by Francisco Garcia on a Dorell Wright breakaway.
Between the 1:30 and 1:00 mark, the Kings had two huge turnovers, one by Evans and one by Cousins to keep the Warriors close. With 19.3 seconds and the Kings leading by five, Beno Udrih fouled Reggie Williams on a three point shot. Williams missed two out of three, but the Warriors got the rebound. This time it was Carl Landry’s turn to foul a three point shooter and with 15.1 seconds left, Dorell Wright stepped to the line and made 2 of 3 to cut the lead to two. The Warriors fouled Beno Udrih with 14.3 seconds left, but the Slovenian native hit both free throws to push the lead to four- 100-96. After a Radmanovic lay-up and another two free throws by Beno, the Warriors missed a three, got the rebound and a foul, made a free throw and missed the second. DeMarcus Cousins fumbled the ball out of bounds, giving the Warriors one more chance and Vladimir Radmanovic used it to bury a 27-foot three from the top of the key as time expired, sending the game to overtime.

Overtime Recap
The Kings scored the first two baskets of the overtime, but the Warriors answered with a 6-0 run of their own. Beno Udrih tried to single handedly keep the Kings in the game, but a series of poor plays on the offensive end led to breakaways at the other end. With :44 left, the Warriors took a 115-109 lead and the visiting crowd went crazy. The Kings lose a heartbreaker in overtime.

Player of the Game: Beno Udih. Sure, the Kings lost tonight, but Beno was spectacular. His 34 points on 11-18 and 4-7 from three point range kept the Kings in the lead for most of the second half. Udrih also kicked in seven rebounds and hit all eight of his free throws. Monta Ellis was the game’s high scorer, but he needed 11 more shots to score two more points than Udrih.
The Difference Maker: Vladimir Radmanovic. Seriously? How does a guy basically skate through a game hardly unnoticed and then drop 13 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter, including a 27 footer as time expires to tie the game. Radmanovic broke the hearts of Kings players and fans tonight.
