The Sacramento Kings have picked up the 2013-14 options of Jimmer Fredette and DeMarcus Cousins. The team announced the transactions in a press release issued this afternoon.
“We’re looking forward to seeing DeMarcus and Jimmer play this year and continue to grow, improve and help this team be successful,” said Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie.
According to salary data compiled by Sham Sports, Fredette’s salary next year is worth roughly $2.4 million. He’s signed to a four-year deal that includes team options in his third and fourth seasons.
Meanwhile, Cousins’ option is worth an estimated $4.9 million. The Kings center will be eligible for a contract extension heading into next season.
