Now that the season is finally over, fans can turn their attention to the NBA Draft, which is less than a week away. Draft expert Joe Kotoch of Pro Basketball Draft and Sheridan Hoops joins us on this week’s podcast to share his insight. We also touch on the changes within the Kings front office and DeMarcus Cousins in the second part of the program.

In his latest mock draft at Sheridan Hoops, Kotoch has the Kings taking Anthony Bennett. Does he think the UNLV product can play small forward at the next level?
The concern I have, and this is an issue I had a couple years ago with Derrick Williams, was when a player is already sort of too big to be a small forward, not athletic enough to cover small forwards, what is going to change as they get older and their body matures and develops that’s going to then suddenly allow them to guard the LeBron Jameses of the world, the Paul Pierces of the world, the Paul Georges, etc.? That’s, I think, the fair question there. I think defensively, he struggled as a freshman anyways and to then put him in a position where he’s guarding players that are as athletic, if not more athletic and quicker than him, I think would be a little too much for him. So I think you have to look at him more as a power forward, who can stretch the court, face the basket and present mismatches.
