Late last week, word began to spread that the Sacramento Kings were swinging for the fences when it came to opening night entertainment. FOX 40’s Mark Demsky reported a rumor that the Kings were attempting to book either Katy Perry or Robin Thicke to perform at next Wednesday’s regular season opener against the Denver Nuggets.
That rumor, which started making the rounds among members of the media during Wednesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns, has since been squashed by the Kings. A spokesperson for the franchise issued a statement this morning confirming that neither platinum-selling musician would be performing at the Oct. 30th game.
For those of you who follow Cowbell Kingdom and aren’t familiar with their music, here’s a little sampling of both.
