The Kings will hold a Fan Fest community event Sunday, Oct. 26, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Sacramento. While the event, which is part of NBA Cares Week, is free and open to the public, particular attendees will be selected to participate in basketball competitions with Kings players. Fans will also have a chance to receive complimentary team merchandise and home game tickets, while watching the team shoot around.
At the event, the Kings will also unveil two full-sized basketball court refurbishments to help encourage community engagement and healthy lifestyles. In partnership with Kaiser Permanente, the court renovations will benefit the Mack Road Partnership, a private sector initiative established in 2010 and approved by Sacramento City Council to manage and improve the environment of Sacramento’s central business district.
Sacramento opens its regular season with a pair of home games against the Warriors and Trail Blazers on Wednesday and Friday, respectively. Following the Friday night contest, the Kings will spend six of their next seven games on the road.
