Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay injured his left knee with 1:44 remaining in the first quarter tonight against the Dallas Mavericks and did not return. The Kings are now calling the injury a left knee lateral joint capsule sprain and he is listed day-to-day.
Gay was able to leave the court under his own power, albeit with a slight limp, before making his way to the locker room. The 28-year-old forward finished the night with four points, two rebounds and two assists in 10 minutes of action.
