Another former Kings assistant coach created some buzz two weeks ago and now CSN California has confirmed that he will join Dave Joerger’s staff for the coming season.
// Bryan Gates has seven seasons of NBA experience and is known to help develop young players. He was an assistant for the Kings during the 2009-10 season under head coach Paul Westphal.
Then he joined Monty Williams in New Orleans for five seasons and recently was on Sam Mitchell’s staff in Minnesota last year.
As of right now, Corliss Williamson and Nancy Lieberman are the only remaining coaches that will stay on staff from last season. The rest of Joerger’s staff is expected to be announced late this week according to CSN California.
Long-time Sacramento assistant Elston Turner is still a possibility to join Joerger’s staff but nothing is official yet. We will keep you updated later this week. In the meanwhile, enjoy the third episode of CK Nation.
