The St. Louis Blues and American Eagle Credit Union (AECU) recently teamed up for a great cause. Combined, the duo was able to raise more than $27,500 that was donated to local first responders.
American Eagle Credit Union raised money through in-branch donations and in-game volunteer efforts, including selling raffle tickets and first responders koozies at the Enterprise Center during First Responders Night on December 16th, 2018. In addition, $5 from each ticket sold that night was donated to the overall tally.
The funds were donated to Backstoppers and The St. Louis Fire Department Foundation.
Bob McKay, AECU CEO, commented on the effort:
“We are dedicated to the St. Louis community and those who serve it, including the amazing men and women who keep us safe every day. We are proud to be able to support our local first responders through our partnership with the St. Louis Blues.”
This is a great story from a season that hasn’t had too many positives. The Blues and their many partners do an outstanding job of getting involved and helping out the St. Louis community.
