Anthony Rizzo Now Has His Own Cereal

When they unveiled the REGGIE! Bar in 1978, Reggie Jackson had already been in the league for eleven seasons and had already put up the lion’s share of what ended up a Hall of Fame career.

Oh…and he was a World Series hero.

In Chicago, they now have RizzOs. And let’s be honest, regardless of how well the Chicago Cubs are playing right now (and they are playing really, really well), Anthony Rizzo’s career on the Northside pales in comparison to what Mr. October had accomplished at the same point in his.

But, here we are…with a honey nut toasted oat cereal called RizzOs.

Hold on, before you groan…it’s for a good cause. You see, a portion of the sales of the cereal will help support the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation and raise money for cancer research and fans are, wait for it…eating them up.

“I can confirm that some stores have sold out of RizzO’s,” Jewel-Osco spokeswoman Mary Frances Trucco said.

The Cheerios knockoff is going to run you $6 for two 14-ounce boxes, but don’t fret…if you don’t live in the Chicago area, you can order online through Amazon. But it is going to cost you.

Happy eating.
