“FREEDOM”…is what USC men’s basketball player Devan Downey screamed when he was released from the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center late Monday night, after posting a personal recognizance bond. Seems the Detention Center has a special wing for USC student-athletes these dayz….
Downey, a 20-year-old sophomore, was charged Monday afternoon with simple assault and battery, a misdemeanor. The arrest stemmed from an April 25 incident in which a fellow student, Curtis Lowery of Irmo, alleges that Downey hit him once.
Seems it was over a woman….Downey is suspended from team activities because of the arrest, per athletics department policy.
Seems AD Hyman needs to have a little sit down with Spurrier and Horn to address some issues with behavior and this.
