Game 1 got played today finally after a rain delay. It was a great match up with USC getting a early 1-0 lead that stood until the bottom of the 6th when CU hit a HR to make it 1-1. It was pretty much back and forth after that until USC escaped a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the 7th. Farotto came in with 1 out and bases loaded…but a double play ended the tiger rally. That was a key part of the game. Then USC finally woke up in the top of the 9th when D Mack came to the plate and crushed a HR. Then some singles got the lead to 3-1.
Dyson was strong again today and USC RP Farotto stepped up big time to get the crucial outs down the stretch. Farotto gets the win.

Gamecocks won by the score of 3-1. SC still with no loses but CU has their first. That makes 5 straight wins for USC over CU. Go cocks as they knock off a top 25 team!
