South Carolina football is reaching new heights as now the attention of Jay Z is on the Gamecocks in Columiba, S.C. The only thing is Jay Z needs to back off until the final second ticks off the bowl game in early 2014. The recent accusation that defensive end Jadeveon Clowney had inappropriate contact with Jay Z and/or Roc Nation Sports is over. No issue there and time for all to move on. But before we do, here is a open letter to Jay Z about this:
Jay Z,
What's up big man. We here at LOHD have liked following your musical career and understand how you are looking to help star players with their contracts via the new Roc Nation Sports thing. But do us a favor…back off Jadeveon Clowney until January 2014.
The USC football team needs him as he is a key to the defensive successes that are yet to come as the Gamecocks march towards the SEC football championship game. Don't need any "smoke" around the program. I know you can talk to him and all that but just avoid it for now.
The only time the NCAA needs to raise eye brows this season due to what is happening at the University of South Carolina is because of winning not inappropriate contact with you. So go write a new song, hang out with Timberlake or play with Blue Ivy; just don't ruin the USC football season. I'm sure Clowney will give you a shout when he concludes this season but for now, he needs to only worry about getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks not returning calls to Jay Z.
Later,
LOHD Staff
