After South Carolina snapped a four game losing streak in their last game against Georgia, winning 67-50, they will look to capture their second consecutive win when they travel to Arkansas to take on the high-scoring Razorbacks on Tuesday. The home team is coming into the game having just lost to Florida, snapping their three game winning streak.
With a get-in price of $15 and average price of $31, this SEC matchup is one of the cheaper tickets remaining on the South Carolina schedule. Later in February, the Gamecocks will take on the UConn Huskies with a get-in price of $34, and Kentucky, with a get-in price of $100.

Last season the two teams met twice. In February, Arkansas got the better of South Carolina at home, winning 71-64. But in the second round of the 2014 SEC Tournament, the Gamecocks were able to eliminate the Razorbacks from the tournament. Sophomore guard, Sindarius Thornwell, scored a team high 17 points during the win over Arkansas last year and is currently the second leading scorer this year, averaging 11.2 points per game. But the Gamecocks have struggled to beat Arkansas on the road in recent years. In games at Lafayette, South Carolina is 3-9 overall and has not won at Bud Walton Arena since 2008. Currently in 11th place in the SEC, Tuesday’s game in Lafayette will crucial to their post-season chances.
Sitting in third place in the SEC, Arkansas (16-5), have one of the best offenses in the NCAA. Sophomore forward Bobby Portis is averaging 17.7 ppg and 8.5 rebounds per game. The 6’11 Portis is one of the best inside players out there and has great range and finishing capabilities for someone of his size. Junior guard Michael Qualls, who also is a great scorer, averaging 15.9 ppg, supports the star forward. As a team the Razorbacks average the 12th most points in the NCAA and the sixth most assists per game. For South Carolina, playing defense has not been their problem. In order to win on the road they are going to need to score, something that has not been easy for them at times this year. A big game from their leading scorer, sophomore guard Duane Notice, will be vital to the Gamecocks winning in Lafayette.
