Syracuse beat Worcester in a shootout 4-3 at the War Memorial to secure the AHL’s East Division.
The Crunch, which has been up and down the entire second half of the season, won the tie-breaker 3-0 after blowing a three-goal lead in the third.
Dan Sexton, Brett Connolly and J.T. Wyman all scored for Syracuse in the shootout. Crunch netminder Cedrick Desjardins stopped all three Sharks shots.
