With the injuries to forwards Alex Killorn and Ryan Callahan, the Lightning have recalled forward Mike Blunden from the Crunch.
Blunden will provide forward depth and some size (6’3″, 215 lbs. )to the lineup versus a big Calgary team tonight.
The 27 year old Blunden, has two goals and three assists in four games with the Crunch this season. He has skated in 102 career NHL games over parts of seven seasons with the Blackhawks, Canadiens and Blue Jackets.
The Bolts will need to make a corresponding move to fit Bl;unden into the roster. Perhaps Killorn to IR, but nothing has been released yet.
UPDATE: Defenseman Radko Gudas was placed on IR retroactive to October 13. He could play in the Winnipeg game on Friday.
