Tampa Bay Lightning GM Steve Yzerman announced that the club has signed forward Jonne Tammela to a three year, NHL entry-level contract Friday morning.
Selected by the Lightning in the fourth round in the 2015 Draft, Tammela is currently skating with Finland’s U-20 team where he has recorded a goal and four points. The 5’10” forward has also played 69 games with Kalpa of the SM-liiga over the last two seasons where he posted 9 goals and 17 points.
Fans hoping to get a look at the Espoo native should keep an eye out for details about the Lightning’s annual Development camp which typically takes place later in the summer.
