GAME NOTES: It’s Opening Day, and Andrew and I will be there! Should be a heck of a time. Unfortunately, Coco Crisp will be DLed and not be able to dazzle the fans for at least 14 more days. The loss is unfortunate, but rather now than in August. I don’t get the complaining about how it was “unnecessary” to slide … we’re relying on Coco to create offense. He’s not going to steal often because of Papi and Manny, but that doesn’t mean he CAN’T. If he hadn’t gotten hurt, everything would have been dandy.
I got the chance to walk around Fenway today, as I get to every week because I live nearby. Here are some pictures of Fenway as the offseason has progressed. In addition, based on things I’ve seen, heard, and read, there are some nice things in Fenway this year. More TVs in the concession area so you don’t miss the game, with closed-captioning. Other TVs updating you on NBA, NFL, NHL scores … the ‘Fenway Park’ at the top of the press box has been updated, with pennant banners mounted below. It’s pretty sweet.

Baseball’s Back in Boston! Let’s hope Papi celebrates his extension in style.
