GAME NOTES: It’s fun rooting for a team with a reliable pitching staff. Takes so much pressure off of the offense. Schilling cruised Saturday against the free-swinging Angels, totalling 8 IP while only surrendering 4 H and 1 BB with 4 K. Only Kendrick and OC got decent swings vs. Schill. For Monday, the rains should delay the early morning start until the afternoon, but there is hope the game will be played. The chances of showers will be around 40% as the day continues and you have to feel like the Sox will do whatever possible to get this in. The pitching matchup remains Beckett-Santana even after the Sunday washout.
