GAME NOTES: A walk-off homerun yesterday. I don’t think we can complain about that. Sitting at 9-4, we’ve proven time and time again that this team can win despite sputtering offense. Manny seems to be breaking out of his shell. If Mike Lowell can recaputer his Fenway debut, then this is a lineup I can feel comfortable throwing out there and having a chance to carry the club. So far, the team has picked the offense up with pitching and defense, but we need this club to be capable of picking the team up offensively. Hopefully, tonight will denigrate into a slugfest for our offense, and an encouraging outing by Matt Clement.
