Game Notes: David Ortiz continues to amaze me. Once you think this guy can’t possibly get to a level any higher than he already is, Papi reaches in his bag of tricks and pulls out another clutch hit. His tiebreaking 3-RBI double through the shift was the difference last night in giving Curt Schilling his fifth win of the season. Tonight, the Sox (and especially Mike Double Machine Lowell) try to keep the bats warm against 4-1 Erik Bedard, who has pitched on-and-off during his career. He appears to be “on” this season thus far. Hopefully, Wake can pitch well enough to make that 1-4 record improve.
