05/10: Curt Schilling (5-1, 3.02) @ Mike Mussina (5-1, 2.35)

Boston Red Sox (20-12) @ New York Yankees (18-12)
GAME: 7:05 EDT in Bronx, NY (Yankee Stadium)
TV: NESN, ESPN
Radio: WEEI 850
RESULT OF PRIOR GAME
Boston Red Sox 14, New York Yankees 3
Sox Star of the Game: Mark Loretta- 6 AB, 3 H, 1 R, 2 RBI (who called that)
Game Notes: Nothing like a good old-fashioned Yankee whoopin. Nothing like watching E-Rod commit 2 fielding errors and Melky Cabrera look like a local little leaguer in right field. Nothing like watching Yankee Stadium boo Randy Johnson as he was removed from the game in the fourth inning. Can you tell I’m ecstatic? The Sox marched into Yankee Stadium last night and played a game to perfection, hell, even Alex Gonzalez hit a home run. Apocalypse? Maybe. But I can sure die happy with that win.
Now we get the best pitching matchup, in my opinion, or at least “most interesting” of the series. The Sox ride a 5-game streak into the hands of Curt Schilling. My confidence is very high right now. The pitching will be there, but this offense could really shine with Coco back at the end of the month. Keep the streak goin!
