Game Notes: A solid but wasted effort by Wakefield turned into an ugly loss, thanks to the bullpen stylings of Julian Tavarez (though, sadly, two of the runs in the eighth were charged to Manny Delcarmen, who left after taking a grounder off the calf). Today, it’s the amazing Matt Clement Therapy Journey, as the embattled righty looks to right the ship. The Sox are up against a rookie hurler here, and hopefully can rattle him enough to get into Detroit’s bullpen early on. And hopefully all of that will happen without Matt Clement needing a hug at any point.
