Game Notes: The never-ending makeup game continues today, as last night’s ticket holders (myself included) will show up for lunch at Fenway, followed by the nightcap at 5. It’s a matchup, first, of the embattled aces: Josh Beckett has been terrible on the road and great at home, while Millwood has been the exact opposite. All of that makes for a solid pitching duel tomorrow afternoon, followed by the triumphant return of the Way Back Machine, John Wasdin, tomorrow evening; Wasdin will face off David Pauley, making his third start for the Sox. Pauley, if he heads back to the minors after this, will be scaring his fellow hurlers to death with tales of the bigs: he will have faced three of the most terrifying offenses in the majors in his three starts.
