NOTES: Hmm … not your usual derby, eh? The only star name is Pujols, and it’s obvious there’s a changing of the guard in baseball. Morneau, Rios, Fielder, Holliday and Howard are becoming the powerhitters of note. It would have been nice for one final year of stalwarts Manny Ramirez (but he’s not hitting) and Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey Jr. Chipper Jones would have been nice, too, but the Derby these days is too long. Bud Selig doesn’t seem interested in fixing it, though. Prediction: Fielder defeats Rios.
